The Boar, or Wild Boar, is a suid mammal.[2] It is one possible corporeal form of the Patronus Charm.[3][4]
History[]
The wizard and Hufflepuff student Ernest Macmillan was capable of producing a fully corporeal Patronus in the form of a boar, which he first conjured in 1996 during a meeting with Dumbledore's Army in the Room of Requirement.[3] On 2 May 1998, he conjured his boar Patronus again during the Battle of Hogwarts to defend Hogwarts Castle and its inhabitants against Dementors which were attacking the school on the orders of Lord Voldemort.[4]
