Bombarda Maxima was the incantation used for the strongest variation of the Exploding Charm. It provoked large, violent explosions capable of demolishing entire walls.
Behind the scenes
- In the fifth film, Professor Umbridge uses this to break into the Room of Requirement.[1] In the book, however, Dobby warns the DA about Umbridge before she arrives, and they are caught when trying to escape.[2]
Etymology
See the page for Bombarda. "Maxima" in Latin means "the largest".
