"Perhaps people have been celebrating Bonfire Night early — it's not until next week, folks! But I can promise a wet night tonight."
Jim McGuffin supposing the reason of recent peculiar things[src]

Bonfire Night is a yearly event dedicated to bonfires, fireworks and celebrations.[2] It is celebrated in Great Britain[1] on 5 November.

History[]

On 1 November 1981, Jim McGuffin, a Muggle TV weatherman (whose broadcast was seen in Little Whinging) supposed that strange behaviour of owls and "so-called" shooting stars in Kent, Dundee and Yorkshire were a result of people's early celebration of Bonfire Night. In reality, witches and wizards were celebrating the fall of Lord Voldemort.[1]
