- "Well-known for his metalwork. I would imagine much of his goblin-wrought iron and silver has survived to this very day."
- — Professor Binns[src]
Bragbor the Boastful[3] was a goblin who lived in the 15th–16th century.[1] He was a talented artisan well-known for his metalwork with iron and silver.[3]
Biography[]
Because of his famous skills, he was commissioned by Professor Isidora Morganach to construct a repository for the emotional magic she had extracted from her students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.[5][3] The repository was claimed hundreds of years later by his descendant, Ranrok, a rebel goblin who argued that because it had been created by goblins, it was owned by goblins,[6] a statement that held true in goblin culture, even if not in Wizarding law.[7]
Bragbor's history was revealed through the memories of Isidora to the new fifth-year student and Sebastian Sallow through a Pensieve in the 1890–1891 school year.[5] He was also referred to as Bragbor the Boastful during one of Professor Cuthbert Binns's History of Magic classes.[3]
