Brendan Flintshard was a wizard who lived in Hogsmeade.[1]
Biography[]
Brendan lead his life in Hogsmeade. He was a wizard with too much time and a fondness for parchment. He was always writing everything down and keeping notes in his diary.[1]
One day, he began to write about a strange, ragged, and mad man who appeared in Hogsmeade. Flintshard found him irritating and even called him "a savage" in his diary. The man would linger around the old sweets stall, pick through rubbish, pluck berries from the roadside, or dance for no-one sometimes. Flintshard noted that the vagabond carried a tattered notebook in which he wrote and drew, and which he even cast little spells on when no one was looking.[1]
One morning, Flintshard saw the man rip out a page and hand it to the candy stall owner, getting a few Sickles in return. Flintshard praised the sweetseller for being a "kind soul" and felt so moved he bought a Pepper Imp. He hoped the vagabond would be able to try it one day, thinking that it might cure his madness.[1]
