A Weasley Predicament was the name given to an event of the Calamity.[1]
Adversaries Event: Ancient Dragons[]
Part I (5–12 April, 2021)[]

The Unforgivable offer Harry and Hermione an insidious deal. Will they accept their costly terms and conditions? Or continue to defy The Unforgivable's demands?[1]
Brilliant Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes[]
- "I've just heard back from the President of MACUSA. They put out a nationwide alert asking for information on Ron and The Unforgivable. They’ve also agreed to lend us some Aurors to help with our search."
- — Harry Potter[src]
- "That's fantastic news. Thanks again for volunteering to get other Ministries on board. It’s comforting knowing we have all these eyes and wands looking for Ron."
- — Hermione Granger[src]
- "Don't thank me. Ron wouldn't be missing if I had just listened to you and taken The Unforgivable threats more seriously. Instead I just had to keep pushing them..."
- — Harry Potter[src]
- "It isn't your fault Ron was taken, Harry. You were just trying to keep The Unforgivable from manipulating the Calamity and abusing its power. The only one who deserves blame for this is The Unforgivable themselves."
- — Hermione Granger[src]
- "Sorry to interrupt, but we've detected a new surge starting up... one made up entirely of people and products from Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes. Could this be the work of The Unforgivable?"
- — Constance Pickering[src]

Brilliant Proprietor George Weasley Return To: Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes, Diagon Alley |
One of the founders of Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes, George Weasley exemplifies the ideals of ingenuity and creativity. During his time at Hogwarts, he and his late brother Fred were constantly devising new ways to delight students, make mischief, and get out of schoolwork. Following their departure from Hogwarts, the twins would put this chaotic energy to use by opening a joke shop and patenting their own joke products. Though the bane of many a professor, George is beloved by students throughout the wizarding world. |

Brilliant Arthur Weasley Return To: The Burrow |
As patriarch of the Weasley family, Arthur always attempts to take an interest in the comings and goings of his household. He is particularly proud of his sons for starting their own joke shop and can often be found perusing the products. A fan of Muggle devices and gadgets, it's quite possible he sees Fred and George as kindred spirits. |

Brilliant Puking Pastilles Display Return To: Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes, Diagon Alley |
These chewable, created to help students skive off their classes, were the brainchild of Fred and George Weasley. Consuming one end would cause the user to vomit, allowing them to feign illness. Once free of their commitment, the user would then consume the opposite end to return to full fitness. The product was wildly successful, much to the dismay of professors and employers everywhere, and is now considered contraband in most work environments in the wizarding community. |

Brilliant Love Potion Stand Return To: Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes, Diagon Alley |
Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes began stocking a full range of WonderWitch Love Potions in 1996, causing an explosion in their popularity with Hogwarts students. However, numerous incidents of misuse led Mr Filch, caretaker of Hogwarts, to ban them from the grounds. Not to be outdone, Fred and George began repackaging the in-demand potions as perfumes and cough potions in order to avoid detection. |

Brilliant Peruvian Instant Darkness Powder Display Return To: Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes, Diagon Alley |
As the name implies, this imported product produces a shroud of darkness instantaneously. Despite being sold alongside joke products at Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes, this item can be quite dangerous in the wrong hands. Draco Malfoy employed it multiple times leading up to the Battle of the Astronomy Tower, allowing him to smuggle Death Eaters into Hogwarts. Following this incident, purchases of Peruvian Instant Darkness Powder at the joke shop were more scrutinised. |

- "I'm not sure who I'm more upset with: The Unforgivable for using Ron to manipulate us or myself for considering giving in to their demands."
- — Harry Potter[src]
- "You're just desperate to get Ron back safely. I am too. After all, this is the longest we've been apart since we went our separate ways during the Horcrux hunt. That's the problem. The Unforgivable are leveraging our desperation to make the terms, terms they'll break or modify whenever the need arises."
- — Hermione Granger[src]
- "So what do we do? We can't exactly stop caring about Ron, now can we?"
- — Harry Potter[src]
- "For now? We continue pouring our resources into finding Ron. With any luck, we'll find him before the second wave of this surge begins. If we don't, well... we'll think of something."
- — Hermione Granger[src]
Adversaries Event: Aragog and Slytherin's Basilisk[]
Part II (19–26 April, 2021)[]

Despite Harry and Hermione's best efforts to find him, Ron is still missing. Will they be able to rescue him from The Unforgivable's clutches before it's too late?[1]
Brilliant The Burrow Kitchen[]
- "The surge has picked up again. It's still centered around the Weasley family, but this time it's taken a more personal turn, featuring fixtures of The Burrow.
Harry, do you think this surge could be made up of Ron's memories? These Foundables feel too intimate to have been created by anyone but someone close to the family." - — Hermione Granger[src]
- "If The Unforgivable are capable of using my memories to create a surge, I imagine they could do the same with Ron's... Though the thought of The Unforgivable rooting around in Ron's mind makes me ill."
- — Harry Potter[src]
- "I guarantee that making us uncomfortable was their intent. The more concerned we are about Ron's safety, the more likely we are to agree to the trade they hinted they were going to propose."
- — Hermione Granger[src]
- "I hate to say it, but it's working."
- — Harry Potter[src]

Brilliant Proprietor Fred Weasley Return To: The Burrow |
Fred Weasley was many things - a loyal friend, an ingenious inventor, an unrelenting prankster, and, above all, a beloved brother. Together with his twin, George, Fred concocted many schemes during his all-too-short life. Chief among them was the founding of Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes and the creation of his own joke product line. Often described as the ringleader of the duo, Fred was known to be more audacious than George when it came to pranks, but also more forgiving. |

Brilliant Weasley Clock Return To: The Burrow |

Possible locations include home, school, work, prison and even mortal peril. Useless for time but invaluable for a worried parent, it's said that this ingenious invention even caught Albus Dumbledore's eye. |

Gnome Return To: The Burrow |
Gnomes are widely considered nuisance creatures, capable of running your garden if not dealt with swiftly and decisively. One common de-gnoming method is to grab the Gnome firmly, swing it around until it's thoroughly dizzy, and throw it elsewhere. One may also employ a Jarvey, a natural predator of Gnomes, but many modern Wizards consider this a rather brutal approach. |

- "I've just got back from St Mungo's. There's nothing physically wrong with Ron, but he still hasn't woken up. Constance is recovering. The Healers say she's lucky some light burns were all she had after taking the full brunt of that Confringo."
- — Hermione Granger[src]
- "Bloody hell! The Unforgivable were one step ahead of us the whole time. They saw right through your Transfigurations, knew just where our defenses were the weakest, and now I've received word that the real Kit Gerrard and Flavius Flint went missing from the safe house while we were making the exchange."
- — Harry Potter[src]
- "You're right. Even getting Ron back seems like something they allowed to happen. Either they have a Legilimens in their cabal... or someone leaked our plans."
- — Hermione Granger[src]
- "You think there might be a spy for The Unforgivable within the Ministry? But who could it... Constance! What are you doing here? Shouldn't you still be in the hospital?"
- — Harry Potter[src]
- "Never mind me, you need to go see Ron! He's woken up but his memories... They've been completely Obliviated!"
- — Constance Pickering[src]
