Brilliant Proprietor Ron Weasley
After a brief career as an Auror, Ron left Ministry of Magic and joined his brother George in running the Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes joke shop. However, he maintained close ties with the Ministry and joined the SOS Task Force when the Calamity stuck.
- "Hermione? Can you explain something to me? Why do I feel like I've had a conversation with Grim Fawley?"
- — Ron Weasley
- "Well, I didn't have this one! He was trying to convince me that he's been imprisoned for over a year."
- — Ron Weasley
- "Tell me about it! I wonder if this whole stupid Calamity is now finding its way into my dreams. I feel like I'm cracking up."
- — Ron Weasley

Brilliant Auror Harry Potter
Following the Battle of Hogwarts, Harry joined the Auror department at just seventeen years of age. He quickly climbed the ranks at the department — and when the Calamity stuck, he contributed his efforts to the SOS Task Force.
- "So this is odd. I feel like I always do when a Foundable torn from me is returned... less anxious... except...
I have a distinct recollection of a conversation with Grim Fawley, and he's telling me that he's been held captive this past year..."
- — Harry Potter
- "I mean, yes — I never had that conversation with him, obviously. But it feels so bloody real..."
- — Harry Potter
- "I don't wonder if having all these Foundable torn from us will have some after-effects... Maybe this is one? False memories...?"
- — Hermione Granger

Brilliant Activated Dark Detector
Like other forms of Dark Detector, these are designed to expose danger or concealment — with a particular emphasis on revealing hidden Traces.
Brilliant Crate of Potions
As part of their work in combating the Calamity. the Statute of Secrecy Task Force is charged with developing new potions to aid in such activities as returning Foundables and defeating Foes.
- "Do you realize that since the start of the Calamity, the Ministry has confirmed that nearly a BILLION potions have been consumed by Task Force members? Well, actually 763,263,276 — but that’s almost a billion! Incredible!"
- — Constance Pickering
Brilliant Opened Portkey
This Portmanteau has been ulocked and the Portkey inside removed for further study by the SOS Task Force, in an effort to determine why the Calamity focuses on particular locations.
- "You know, they're one of the things I've most admired about the Calamity spell, those Portmanteaus... Amazing attention to detail, to invent something mechanical like that."
- — Constance Pickering
Brilliant Ministry of Magic Landmark Flag
Landmark Banners denote areas of high Trace activity from specific Foundable Families. The connection between Family and location is an area of intense study within the SOS Task Force.
- "I don’t know if you're aware, but after I suggested using banners to identify areas of high Family concentration, my boyfriend, Lucas Sparrowvale, spent six months traveling the world and placing them. How's that for dedication?
Someday, I may have him home to meet mum."
