Bulman's Ultimate Witch's Hat Liner was a special detachable liner made by Bulman's. It could be inserted into one's hat and was designed to repel Dark hexes.[1]

An advertisement for the product appeared in the Daily Prophet. It touted the product's "new improved model", proclaiming it to be "indisputably the finest liner available today", used by Wizengamot members and the general wizarding public alike. The company offered a customer satisfaction guarantee and advised interested parties to send a self-addressed owl to its address.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
- There are two different versions of this advertisement. The one shown in A Guide to the Graphic Arts Department: Posters, Prints, and Publications from the Harry Potter Films claims the product "repels Dark Arts hexii", using an incorrect plural form of hex (the -ii plural is only accurate in words that end in -us, and often not even then). The version used for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Diagon Alley uses the correct plural "hexes".
