Butter is a dairy product made by churning fresh or fermented cream or milk. It is generally used as a spread and a condiment, as well as in cooking, such as baking, sauce making, and pan frying.[1]
History[]
There was a reference to butter in Ron's unsuccessfully performed his unsuccessful spell on 1 September 1991 aboard the Hogwarts Express.[2]
Butter was available as a condiment for meals at Hogwarts. On the morning of 2 September 1995, Fred Weasley buttered a crumpet at breakfast.[3]
Rubeus Hagrid was famous for cooking a Butterfly Pie, which included butter and things that flew.[4]
