A Butterfly Pie[2], or butter-fly pie, was a pudding that contained butter and things that flew, such as Swooping Evil.[1]
History[]
At the start of the 2009–2010 school year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Rubeus Hagrid made one for his half-brother Grawp and also invited some students to taste it when they visited him. However, the pie was not really done at that time, and a Swooping Evil flew out of it. Hagrid managed to finish the pie after the Swooping Evil was captured by a student.[1]
During the 2010–2011 school year, some Hogwarts professors were planing a fancy dinner to welcome Harry Potter, Ronald Weasley and Hermione Granger, Rubeus Hagrid was undecided about what to prepare for the dinner, and he sent a letter to a student to help him. When the student arrived to Hagrid's Hut, he told them about the occasion, they talked about how Hogwarts was like a home for Hagrid and the student wondered if it was the same for Harry, Hagrid replied that might be the same for them one day. After that, he asked them how they felt about his Butterfly Pie, saying it was Grawp's favourite.[2]
