Caithness is a registration county, lieutenancy area and historic local government area of the Highlands of Scotland.
History[]
The McGonagalls lived here in the 20th century in the local Highlands, after Robert McGonagall and his wife Isobel Ross eloped into a manse on the outskirts of Caithness. Caithness was, thus, the birthplace of their children: Minerva, Malcolm and Robert Jnr.[1]
