Caligo, also known as the Onyx Hippogriff,[2] was a Hippogriff that belonged to the new fifth-year Hogwarts student.[1]
Etymology[]
Caligo is Latin for "fog, mist, vapour", "darkness, gloom", and figuratively, the "inability to perceive mentally".[4]
Behind the scenes[]
- Prior to a summer update to the game on 6 June 2024, Caligo could only be unlocked if the player owned the pre-ordered version of Hogwarts Legacy.
