Description	Dinner held for the candidates of the 1932 International Confederation of Wizards' Supreme Mugwump election.

The Candidates' Dinner was hosted by the International Confederation of Wizards, sometime in 1932 in the Grand Hall of the German Ministry of Magic to choose the next leader of the International Confederation of Wizards.

History

Background information

Albus Dumbledore: "Professor Hicks."

Eulalie Hicks: "Dumbledore."

Albus Dumbledore: "Assuming you're not otherwise engaged, and frankly even if you are... I encourage you to attend tonight's candidate's dinner. Take Mr Kowalski, I'm quite certain there'll be an assassination attempt. Anything you can do to scotch that will be greatly appreciated."

Eulalie Hicks: "It's my pleasure. I shall welcome the challenge. Besides, I'll have Jacob with me."

Before this dinner was held, Eulalie Hicks and Jacob Kowalski were asked by Albus Dumbledore that if a potential assassination attempt did happen during the dinner, to quell it before anyone noticed.

Tea Ceremony

"Thank you, thank you. I see many familiar faces here tonight! Colleagues, friends, foes. Within the next 48 hours... you along with the Wizarding World will choose our next great leader. A choice that will shape our lives for generations to come. I have little doubt that, no matter who will triumph, the confederation will be in able hands. Liu Tao. Vicência Santos. It's in moments such as these that we should be reminded that it is this peaceful transfer of power which marks our humanity... and demonstrates that to the world that despite our differences all voices deserve to be heard. Even voices which many find disagreeable...[...] and so, after an extensive investigation... the Confederation has concluded that insufficient evidence exists, to prosecute Gellert Grindelwald... for the crimes against the Muggle community of which he was accused. He is hereby absolved of all his alleged crimes."

The tea ceremony started in the evening. Newt and Theseus walked in and he was told nothing by his brother except a few things, Newt had a message to deliver from Albus Dumbledore to Anton Vogel, to which he delivered saying to do what is right, not what is easy, meaning by while passing over the position of leader to not do anything stupid in which he did, choose what is easy by letting Gellert Grindelwald stand in the election.

The Alliance started to walk in during the dinner, in which Theseus Scamander and Newton Scamander noticed. Vinda Rosier walked by them while Vogel announced that all of Grindelwald's alleged crimes would be absolved since insuffiencent evidence could be found meaning so he can be able to run for the election. Theseus threatened to arrest the lot of them but was stunned by his fellow friend, Helmut. They took him away, to Erkstag.
