Carl Hopkins was a Gryffindor[1] student who began attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in either 1990 or 1991.[2]
During the 1996–1997 school year, he took N.E.W.T.-level Potions, as he someday hoped to be an Auror.[1] He confessed to Harry Potter, in the year 1996-1997, that he would like a new broom. He also admits it is a disaster in Potions. At year end it can be seen walking in the Entrance Courtyard, near Scott Ancrum.
