Carrow[2] was a Dark witch who lived in the 1920s, and was a member of the Carrow family.[3] She was a member of Gellert Grindelwald's Alliance, and one of the devoted acolytes that formed his inner circle.[4]
Biography[]
1927[]
Carrow became an ardent follower of Gellert Grindelwald at some point prior to 1927 and became one of his acolytes.[4]
She accompanied Grindelwald to Paris and she took part along with the other acolytes in murdering a Non-Magique man and woman, along with their infant son, whom she murdered personally on Grindelwald's orders with the Killing Curse. After murdering the family, they used their home as a temporary headquarters and safe house as they searched for Credence Barebone.[4]
She attended Grindelwald's rally at the Cimetière du Père-Lachaise in the Lestrange Mausoleum and disapparated away after crossing the enchanted fire that tested one's loyalty following the entrance of Aurors and did not participate in the subsequent battle after that.[4]
1932[]
In 1932, the force of acolytes under the command of Credence Barebone and Vinda Rosier were dispatched to the forests of China under the orders of Gellert Grindelwald to capture a Qilin. In the company of Vinda, Carrow chanced upon a grotto in which Newt Scamander was assisting a mother Qilin in giving birth to her young. As they paused, eying the infant of their desires hungrily, Carrow, after a brief glance at her comrade, again turned back to the Magizoologist and stood by as Rosier swiftly struck down the mother, only to be halted by the magical shield Newt had conjured. The spell, however, was short-lived in the face of Credence's powers; he swiftly tore through the barrier, sending the group surging forwards. As Newt, the infant Qilin and his suitcase in hand, ran with the suitcase, Carrow managed to briefly catch up to him whilst chasing him, only to be sent flying away by Newt with the help of the natural resources around him, crashing back into the bamboo. In the end, however, a spell to the back sent Newt falling into the lake and the acolytes, after gathering, swiftly took the Qilin and Disapparated to Nurmengard. They did not know, however, that another Qilin was born that fateful night - a twin - and when they arrived in the headquarters of the Alliance, they believed they had the only child belonging to the murdered mother. Carrow, standing in silence, was dismissed along with the other acolytes (bar Credence) and left Grindelwald to speak with his young protégé alone.
A few night later, Carrow and Vinda Rosier, both dressed in flowing blue robes, attended an election rally at the German Ministry of Magic and inconspicuously entered the crowds of Santos supporters, whereupon Carrow, at a signal from Vinda, set a Santos campaign banner alight with a whispered spell. She attended the Candidates' Dinner together with Grindelwald's allies. She was in Bhutan for the walk of the Qilin, during which she walked alongside Zabini who paralysed Newt on the way to the top of the Eyrie.
Personality and traits[]
Carrow was a dedicated follower of the Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald and his beliefs in Wizarding supremacy. She was obedient to her master, and was even willing to commit the murder of an innocent child when instructed to do so. When she and several other acolytes seized control of a Parisian home belonging to a non-magical family, the task of murdering the infant boy fell to Carrow. No verbal command was spoken, but she deduced Grindelwald's desire, and did not flinch from the task; executing the child swiftly with little to no display of emotion.[4]
