This cat bird toy had a face like a cat, was decorated with bird feathers, and had a bell which made a jingle which attracted Zouwus.[1][2]

In early September 1927, this toy was used by Newton Scamander when he encountered a Zouwu at Alexander III Bridge to lure the beast into his case.[1]

Sometime later, after escaping from the French Ministry of Magic Records Room, while Newt was coaxing the same Zouwu, Tina grabbed the toy from inside Newt's case and used it in a similar manner at the Cimetière du Père-Lachaise to attract the Zouwu back into Newt's case.[2]
