Benin[]

Apparently on Pottermore, this West African country is mentioned somewhere of some significance, but whereabouts on Pottermore is currently unknown. Articles on countries that don't have explicit name mentions anywhere in the series have been deleted before (like Finland) so we need to make sure that this country has an explicit mention/depiction on Pottermore in order to be notable. Can anyone help here? RedWizard98 (talk) 12:02, 19 August 2021 (UTC)

I only know of an indirect mention, as it says Uagadou accepts students from all Africa, but I don't know of any direct mention.Rodolphus (talk) 12:13, 19 August 2021 (UTC)
From that information, I would go as far to say that that mention isn't even an indirect mention; the wiki doesn't have an article on a single country that does not have specific name mention, for example, a source which depicts/mentions Europe doesn't in any way qualify articles to made about countries like Finland or say Macedonia that have no named mentions in the series. If this article has no exact name mention, then it isn't notable and should preferably be deleted as per notability guidelines. Notability is important and its rules can't really be relaxed for certain articles, it has to be universally applied. 12:17, 19 August 2021 (UTC)RedWizard98 (talk)
The Beninese city of Bohicon was mentioned in a canon source, but it looks like there was no mention of the country in which it was located in said canon source, so I'm guessing that's not enough? -  MrSiriusBlack  Talk  12:26, 19 August 2021 (UTC)
In response to Mr Sirius Black's comment, there is no direct/indirect mention of it on Pottermore, but it is indirectly mentioned in the Bohicon article, which could make it notable indirectly, but the article's sources need changing and just for clarification, I assume there is at least one other country on the wiki where only its capital or a place within is mentioned but has its own article as well? RedWizard98 (talk) 12:34, 19 August 2021 (UTC)

I don't know an article about an indirectly mentioned country, but we have an Oceania article. Is this comparable?Rodolphus (talk) 12:37, 19 August 2021 (UTC)

That article summaries known wizarding stuff on an entire continent, but this article doesn't even have that purpose. Frankly, I don't see a single logical reason for this article to exist. MalchonC (talk) 14:06, 19 August 2021 (UTC)
Well regarding Oceania, the continent is seen as a whole on a Pottermore illustrated map by Neal Murren, along with several Oceanian countries having articles. RedWizard98 (talk) 17:40, 19 August 2021 (UTC)

Parque Lage[]

AS SHOWN IN THE END OF DUMBLEDORE'S SECRETS, ALL MINISTRIES CELEBRATED THE VICTORY OF VICENCIA SANTOS AS SUPREME HEAD OF THE CONFEDERATION OF WIZARDS. WHEN SHOWN IN BRAZIL, WITCHES ARE GATHERED IN PARQUE LAGE, A PLACE OF MYSTERY AND MAGICAL LEGENDS IN THE COUNTRY. AND AS DESIGNER EDUARDO LIMA HIMSELF DESCRIBED IN HIS RECENT VIDEO, THE MINISTRY OF MAGIC IS IN PARQUE LAGE.

All right, but you do not have to shout. The reason I put the {{Verify}} tag was because there had been no released source that directly proves the name of the location. It is correct to provide a link to a video that shows the name, but it would've been better if you had added it to the article in question in the beginning, instead of linking it here after someone questioned the canonicity of your article. Wagga Wagga Werewolf symposium[]

Extremely unclear if this is a real event in the Harry Potter universe or instead fanon or speculation; can anybody verify this topic for the wiki? Thanks. RedWizard98 (talk) 15:44, 27 May 2022 (UTC)

According to this edit, it seems to have been mentioned in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, Year 7, Chapter 6 (A Window of Opportunity). Never played the game, so I don't know for sure. -  MrSiriusBlack  Talk  16:14, 27 May 2022 (UTC)
Hi, in response, I checked that chapter on YouTube and found it did mention the event, so it is now verified. But please could perhaps its author and others remember to add appearances and references to new pages so this unnecessary confusion can be averted. Thank you. Danny Avidan[]

I know he dubbed Draco because it's written about the Hebrew Wikipedia: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone https://he.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D7%94%D7%90%D7%A8%D7%99_%D7%A4%D7%95%D7%98%D7%A8_%D7%95%D7%90%D7%91%D7%9F_%D7%94%D7%97%D7%9B%D7%9E%D7%99%D7%9D_(%D7%A1%D7%A8%D7%98) Talisrael (talk) 20:56, 11 July 2022 (UTC)talisraelTalisrael (talk) 20:56, 11 July 2022 (UTC)

The reason this article and several others have been flagged for "verification" is because you have failed to provide citations in these articles. It would help if you provided them, and to maybe find a proper English translation for them too. RedWizard98 (talk) 23:35, 11 July 2022 (UTC)
This article is still unverified with zero references. Plus, the fact that the creator was unable to provide a source in English is disappointing. If nobody can verify this article with reliable citations, it should probably be deleted. RedWizard98 (talk) 00:36, 9 September 2023 (UTC)

I have now deleted this, because no reliable sources have ever been provided or could be found. "Danny Avidan" is only mentioned on the Hebrew Wikipedia article because of a dubious bot edit from 11 years ago that seems to cite the Croatian Wikipedia's PS film article for no discernible reason. This is very much not good enough basis to create an article on this wiki. Yes check Done -  MrSiriusBlack  Talk  17:08, 6 November 2023 (UTC)

Petros Koukoulomatis and Danny Oliver[]

Can someone verify that this person played a Muggle in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2? I can't recall Muggles being in that film, aside from maybe some at King's Cross Station at the end. RedWizard98 (talk) 15:56, 19 December 2023 (UTC)

Danny Oliver too. These probably aren't the only unsourced listings in the films' cast lists. -  MrSiriusBlack  Talk  18:28, 19 December 2023 (UTC)
Can anyone find a source for these actors? RedWizard98 (talk) 18:51, 19 December 2023 (UTC)
Bumping them both. RedWizard98 (talk) 15:57, 23 December 2023 (UTC)
Yes check Done due to a lack of suitable verification after 7 days. Castlemore (talk) 20:32, 1 January 2024 (UTC)
