It was meant for those Hogwarts students whose exact nationality is not given I think. Hogwarts accepts British and Irish students.--Rodolphus (talk) 15:48, August 14, 2020 (UTC)

Putting aside the "necessity" argument again (none of this is necessary - can delete the entire site and the sun still comes and the world still spins), this category was made after the extensive discussion at Forum:Birthplace and nationality (as mentioned above). While we put the re-organization of Category:British individuals on hold to see if there were any "last minute" fixes needed, my point was that if we are adding categories to individuals where all we know is "|nationality={{GBorIE}}" we should probably just starting using Category:British or Irish individuals instead of likely having to reorganize them later.
