Dobby's shoes

An absolutely bizarre and pointless article. All it says is that Dobby owned a pair of shoes after being freed by the Malfoy's. If this stays, then we'll be seeing articles like "Ron's wellington boots" and "Hermione's spare Hogwarts robes" appearing soon. 82.42.249.145 17:03, May 2, 2011 (UTC)

I disagree, I think articles should be made for clothing only if it's useful and the clothing is memorable in the film. By useful, I mean it explained to some who may not know about the difference they saw in Dobby's atire in Part 1. And if they look at Dobby's clothes, it's linked in case they want to know more about it. *LunaHallows(I suspect Nargles are behind it...) 18:02, May 2, 2011 (UTC)

No other character has an article for a non-significant piece of their clothing. Keeping this article would be like having one for Ron Weasley's robes or Hermione's coat. I agree that it is fairly pointless.--Matoro183 (Talk) 20:10, May 2, 2011 (UTC)
Luna, you say it is linked in case they want to know more about it. That would be fair enough, but the article doesn't give any more information about it. It just says he owned a pair of shoes. That's it. 82.42.249.145 19:52, May 5, 2011 (UTC)

Jay Barrymore

It's about Emma Watson's ex-boyfriend.

"Lord" John Paul Castrianni

Being a fact purist, it is obnoxious to me that we have an article which is completely fallacious. I am a long time lurked, but this issue has got my hackles up as it seems a case of complete lies appearing on what is normally one of the best sourced wikis.

He has been caught out directly lying on his user page and while this is not directly relevant to my nomination for deletion, I feel the dishonesty shown in using a fraudulent title is relevant in that it indicates a tendency to lie.

Now, the sources for his participation in the Harry Potter film franchise.

1. His IMDB page- This can be edited by himself. 2. His casting call pro page which he can edit himself.

Furthermore.. He never appears in either film's credits nor has he been mentioned in official sources. Indeed it seems unlikely that the studio would authorise an uncredited extra to be interviewed by fan sites (John Paul lavishly made himself open for interviews on fan sites) without taking legal action against him.

If anything else is needed, he was a co-worker with myself during the period in which the last Harry Potter films were being filmed. He claimed he was granted US citizenship directly by the Secretary of State, and that he is a personal friend of the Queen, in addition to his claim to be a billionaire etc. Despite having a registered address (on his "lordship certificate" he posted) in a pokey flat in Manchester

The man is living in a fantasy world, but I see no reason for us as a credible wiki to lend credence to his make believe. I am also seeking contact with IMDB and Castingcall to let them know they are hosing pages regarding a complete fraud. Atredies 16:01, May 10, 2011 (UTC)

Having dug a little deeper.. From his IP (before he had the account) we can see that he has repeatedly attempted to vandalise the wikipedia page regarding his "Title" and the "fact" that he was in the Harry Potter films...

http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Maricourt_High_School&action=history

It should be noted that he had used these vandalised pages to verify his "Lordship" to Nick O'Demus here: http://harrypotter.wikia.com/wiki/User_talk:Nick_O%27Demus#links_regarding_offensive_material.

"not sure if this helps but here are several links that do have me being stated as Lord Johnpaul Castrianni

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maricourt_High_School"

72.184.188.20 - The Same IP as is recorded repeatedly adding his "Lordship" to the Harry Potter Wiki Article.

Another instance of him "Editing" his past using the internet. This raises the point of what Stephen Colbert calls wikiality, that if something is on a wiki it is true.. I worry that he uses websites like ours to lie on and so create a false resume/life to live and aid him in getting further jobs.

Again caught out editing his past for vanity or personal gain. Further reduction in his credibiliy. Atredies 18:05, May 10, 2011 (UTC)
