The Central Tower was one of the many towers of Hogwarts Castle.[2] It sat atop the Long Gallery and overlooked the whole of the Viaduct Entrance.[1] It was also near the Herbology greenhouses.[3]
History[]
On 2 May 1998, during the Battle of Hogwarts, this tower was almost completely blown up.[4]
Behind the scenes[]
- In the first two films, the tower had a square base and rounded top with a round spire. It had a balcony on each side and a smaller tower on each corner. From the Prisoner of Azkaban film to the Order of the Phoenix film, it changed to being completely square without any balconies. In the Half-Blood Prince film onwards, the tower is shorter.
