A cherub is a being which resembles a small, human child with angel-like wings.[1]
On Valentine's Day in 1996, Madam Puddifoot decorated her tea shop for the occasion, which included golden cherubs floating over all of the tables and occasionally sprinkling pink confetti on the visiting patrons.[1] Harry Potter, who was on a date with Cho Chang, found this annoying, as the confetti often landed in his tea or got in his face.[1]
Behind the scenes
- It is not specified in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix if the cherubs seen in Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop are living magical creatures like leprechauns or fairies, some form of conjuration, or statues animated through Transfiguration.
