The Children's High Level Group is a British Muggle charity organisation, dedicated to the benefit of "children in desperate need of a voice". J. K. Rowling was a supporter of this charity, as she made sure that royalties involved the sale of a Muggle-produced copy of The Tales of Beedle the Bard in 2008 went towards the Children's High Level Group. She believed that Albus Dumbledore, whose notes accompanied this printing of the book, would support this decision.[1]
Behind the scenes
- In the real world, the Children's High Level Group, renamed Lumos (after the incantation for the Wand-Lighting Charm) in 2010, was founded by J. K. Rowling and Emma Nicholson in 2005.
