Chinese Chomping Cabbage is a magical plant that is presumably native to China. As the name suggests it has the ability to chomp on foods, such as carrots. It is also an ingredient required in the brewing of the healing potion Skele-Gro.[3]

History

During the 1988–1989 school year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Professor Pomona Sprout taught her fifth year students about these plants in Herbology class.[1]

Hermione Granger copied a diagram of it for a homework assignment on potion ingredients that was given by Professor Snape in her fifth year.[2]
