Choranaptyxis was a characteristic some magical creatures had of being able to grow or shrink in order to fit available space.[1]
Occamies were known to be choranaptyxic,[1] though they won't normally exceed a length of fifteen feet.[2]
Mokes were also choranaptyxic, as they can shrink in size at will, with their default length being about ten inches.
Etymology
Choranaptyxis is the combination of the Greek prefix chor(o)- (χώρος), meaning "space"; and anaptyxis (ανάπτυξη), which means "growth" or "unfolding".
