History[]
During the Calamity in the late 2010s or early 2020s, wizarding greenhouse proprietors in Chudleigh approached a Calamity Investigator working for the Statute of Secrecy Task Force to help them prevent a Muggle shepherd's sheep from eating all of their valerian root. In response, the investigator managed to both move the sheep and obliviate the shepherd before teatime, much to the relief of the proprietors.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
- Chudleigh may have been the origin of the name of the wizarding town of Chudley, particularly given that it is located in Devon, which was the same county that Ron Weasley lived in when he first became a fan of the Chudley Cannons.
