Chudley was a town in England.[1] It was one of the many villages throughout Britain where witches and wizards settled in numbers after the International Statute of Secrecy to rely on each other for mutual support, living alongside a Muggle population.[2] It was the hometown of the Chudley Cannons Quidditch team.
Etymology[]
- Chudley may be named after the real English town of Chudleigh. This would make sense, as it is located in Devon, which the same county that Ron Weasley lived in when he first became a fan of the Chudley Cannons.
