Ciarán Hinds (born 9 February, 1953) is a Northern Irish actor who portrays Aberforth Dumbledore in the film Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.[1]

Probably his best-known role in recent years is as Gaius Julius Caesar in HBO's historical miniseries Rome (one of Caesar's assassins, Cassius, was played by Guy Henry).

His other roles include appearances in the Oscar-nominated film In Bruges (in which his role was uncredited, and which also starred Brendan Gleeson, Ralph Fiennes, and Clémence Poésy); the spy thriller Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy, starring Gary Oldman, John Hurt, Toby Jones, Simon McBurney and Roger Lloyd-Pack.[2]; and the upcoming horror film The Woman in Black, starring Daniel Radcliffe.
