Clagmar Castle was a fortress located in the Scottish Highlands.[1]
History[]
In the late 19th century, the castle was used by the Ashwinders, a gang of criminal wizards, as their base of operations. Silvanus Selwyn was in charge of the Ashwinders' operations at the castle. In the 1890–1891 school year, the witch Hyacinth Olivier placed a bounty on Selwyn's head, believing that eliminating him would make the Ashwinders in the local area dwindle without a leader. A Hogwarts student took up the task of assassinating Selwyn at Clagmar Castle for Hyacinth, which they achieved.[1]
