Clarence Quillion was a wizard and the postmaster at the Owl Post Office in Hogsmeade during the 21st century.[2]
History[]
Clarence was usually seen talking to the owls — Artemis, Toodles (his favourite), Bartholomew, Owlphonse, and Hortencia — at the Post Office. He also spent his time obsessively ruminating about every awkward conversation he had on the day. He liked to write poetry and recite it to the owls, who always gave two talons up.[2]
Personality and traits[]
Clarence was a socially awkward person, preferring the friendship of the owls at the Post Office than of human friends. He also mentioned being rubbish at picking on social cues, and couldn't imagine that people visiting the Post Office would like to do small talk with him.[2]
Etymology[]
The name Clarence has Latin origins, derived from the word "clarus", meaning "clear". The name also conveys a sense of clarity and elegance, and inspires someone to navigate life's journey while staying focused on their goals and dreams.[3] The spelling "quillion" is an alternative form of the word "quillon", which refers to the guard of a sword to protect the hand from harm.[4]
