- "The classroom floor had become springily mossy and trees were growing out of it; their leafy branches fanned across the ceiling and windows, so that the room was full of slanting shafts of soft, dappled, green light. The students who had already arrived were sitting on the earthy floor with their backs resting against tree trunks or boulders, arms wrapped around their knees or folded tightly across their chests, looking rather nervous."
- —Description[src]
Classroom Eleven was a classroom in the ground-floor corridor leading off of the Entrance Hall on the opposite side to the Great Hall. It was one of several classrooms which were not regularly used and, as such, had the slightly neglected feeling of a cupboard or storeroom.[1]
History
As Firenze was unable to climb the ladder to the Divination Classroom, Albus Dumbledore arranged for his classes to take place in Classroom Eleven when he was hired as a Divination professor in 1996. In imitation of Firenze's natural habitat, he also had it redecorated with a mossy floor, boulders and trees.Firenze was able to make the stars appear in the ceiling for the students to observe.[1]
