This classroom was located off of the Charms corridor, near Classroom 2E.[1]
History[]
In 1991, after Professor Minerva McGonagall pulled Oliver Wood from Filius Flitwick's class to speak with him and Harry Potter about his joining the Gryffindor Quidditch team, she led them to this classroom, where Peeves was writing rude words on the blackboard. McGonagall told him to leave them, and he threw the chalk in the bin and left, cursing.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
- In the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, McGonagall, Harry and Wood have their conversation outside of Quirrell's classroom at the Middle Courtyard.
- Given that the classroom is on the third-floor, it is possible that it is Class 34 (a Transfiguration classroom) or Class 72 (a History of Magic classroom). Alternatively, since it is off of the Charms corridor, it could be an alternative Charms classroom, like Class 99 in the South Tower.
