Clevosaurus sectumsempra, also known as Clevosaurus sectumsemper is an extinct reptile in the real world. It lived in Brazil over 205 million years ago and is a namesake to the Sectumsempra spell Severus Snape casts in the Harry Potter franchise.[1][2] It was discovered in 2006, several fossils from an animal known as Clevosaurus were dubbed Clevosaurus sectumsempra.[3]
