"Are you a wizard, or what?"
The title of this article is conjectural. Although it is based on canonical information, the actual name is a conjecture and may be supplanted at any time by additional information released from canonical sources. If this occurs, please move this page to the appropriate title. |
This spell (incantation unknown) could be used to animate items of clothing, which could be controlled by their wearer. The clothes' actions might be directed by the spell's caster or they might act of their own accord.[2]
Known uses
In the summer of 1995, Ron Weasley was attacked and nearly strangled by a set of purple robes in 12 Grimmauld Place, before being saved by Mundungus Fletcher.[1] Hermione Granger mentioned this in 1997.
Behind the scenes
- In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, while Harry and Lord Voldemort are duelling in the catwalks by the Quad battlements, Voldemort causes several strips from his robes to lash out at Harry like tendrils and wrap around his arms and throat.[2] However, as this depiction of their duel contradicts the events as described in the novel, it is not considered canon.
Appearances
- Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (First appearance)
- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Indirectly mentioned only)
- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (Non-canonical appearance)
