Cobb was a witch and an employee of the Spirit Division within the British Ministry of Magic.

Biography

Cobb used to be employed by the Beast Division, where she worked as a liaison to the Merpeople, which is where she learnt Mermish. She later transferred to the Spirit Division.

Cobb was sent by the Ministry, along with her partner, Hobb, to investigate a banshee attack on Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry during the late 1980s. They were informed that the banshees may have been attracted to a black comb that Penny Haywood had brought back from Ireland and tossed into the Great Lake, so Cobb went down there with Penny and Jacob's sibling to retrieve the comb. They found, however, that the comb had been discarded by the Merpeople and tossed into the Forbidden Forest. Upon arriving at the Forbidden Forest, Cobb helped defeat the swarm of banshees which had incapacitated Hobb and retrieved the black comb. She then sent Jacob's sibling back to the castle with the comb whilst she and Penny cared for Hobb. After helping Hobb, she and Hobb participated in protecting Jacob's sibling and Penny as they traded the black comb for a mirror.
