The Collector's Cave was the tomb of an unidentified witch who died sometime prior to the 1890s. In order to deter intruders, the cave was infested with Inferi and contained several traps and puzzles in order to hinder people who wanted to access the cave's treasures.[1]
History[]
Prior to the 1890s, the witch stole the Helmet of Urtkot, a prized possession of the Goblins. When she died, the helmet was placed in her sarcophagus, deep in the cave. During the 1890s a group of Ashwinders broke into the cave and managed to steal the helmet, though some of them were killed in the process. Unaware of this, Lodgok asked a Hogwarts student to retrieve the helmet from the cave so he could mend relations with his brother, Ranrok. When the student entered the cave, they managed to make their way to the witch's sarcophagus, only to discover that the helmet had already been taken. They then went to the Ashwinder camp to find the thieves who had stolen it.[1]
