The common room corridor was a corridor at Hogwarts Castle that gave access to the Slytherin Dungeon, Gryffindor Tower, Hufflepuff Basement, and Ravenclaw Tower.[1][2]
Description[]
The corridor featured a six-panelled stained glass window that represented students from each of the four houses playing Quidditch in each corner. In the central panels were depictions of Hogwarts Castle at sunset with the Hogwarts crest above.[1][2]
Behind the scenes[]
- The existence of this corridor hardly constitutes canon, as it is strongly established in the books and films that the common rooms are actually quite far away from one another: the Slytherins' is located in the dungeons; the Gryffindors' is located in a tower on the seventh floor, the Hufflepuff is located in the basement corridor, by the kitchens; and the Ravenclaw's in a tower on the west side of the building.
