"Good evening, students. It seems like ages since we last saw one another... But for the wider universe, it was little more than the blink of an eye. Tonight, we'll do our best to grapple with the nigh-unfathomable age of the cosmos. You'll never feel old comparing yourself to the wider universe..."

The cosmic ages

The cosmic ages referred to the age of the universe. The Big Bang was the event from which the age of the universe was measured.[1]

History[]

During the 1989–1990 school year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Professor Aurora Sinistra taught her sixth-year Astronomy students about the cosmic ages during an evening class.[1]
