The counter-jinx[1] (incantation unknown) was a spell that reversed the effects of the Jelly-Legs Jinx, making the legs solid once again.[1]

In 1994, Hermione Granger had to look up this spell after breaking Harry Potter's Shield Charm with a "well-placed" Jelly-Legs Jinx during preparation for the Triwizard Tournament, leaving Harry to wobble around the room for ten minutes.[1]

Behind the scenes

  • In the StarKid Productions parody A Very Potter Musical, the counter jinx is just the word "unjellify" which leads to the repeated quote "who knew the counter-jinx was just 'unjellify'?"
