This woman was Credence Barebone's biological mother.[3]
History
- "The summer Gellert and I fell in love, my brother fell in love as well. With a girl from the Hollow. She was sent away. There were rumours about a child."

She was a girl from Godric's Hollow. During the same summer that Albus Dumbledore and Gellert Grindelwald fell in love, she and Aberforth Dumbledore fell in love and, sometime around 1901, she gave birth to Aurelius Dumbledore,[3] her son with Aberforth. However she was "sent away", although it's unknown if this was before or after she gave birth. Albus was aware of rumours that the relationship had resulted in a child, but due to the distance between the Dumbledore brothers, Aberforth neither confided in Albus nor sought his help.[2]
Her son was taken to the USA by an aunt when he was still an infant. He was adopted by Mary Lou Barebone and renamed Credence Barebone. Mary Lou later suggested to Credence that she had known her and was aware of the fact she was a witch.[4]
In 1926, she was mentioned to Credence by Mary Lou Barebone seconds before getting ready to abuse him after suspecting Modesty Barebone's toy wand was his.[3] While looking for his true identity, Credence searched all around Europe for his mother, with information from his adoption certificate.[5]
In the 1930s, Albus, after discovering that Credence was his nephew, explained to Newton Scamander the history of Aberforth and this woman's relationship. Albus expressed remorse over not being a better friend and brother to Aberforth, leaving his brother unable to confide in him and seek out his help.[2]
Behind the scenes
- It is possible that she was a witch, having been referred to as a "wicked, unnatural woman", but it is also unknown if Mary Lou Barebone ever knew Credence's mother like she claimed. He was switched with Corvus Lestrange on the way to the USA, and given to Mary Lou by Irma Dugard. It's very unlikely she knew the identity of Credence's true mother since he was not the baby Irma intended to give to her, unless they somehow met later on.
- It is unknown what happened to her, but it is possible that she had died prior to 1926, as Mary Lou referred to her in the past tense.[3]
- She is the first person in this series to have been mentioned in every film but not shown.
