Creepy Crawlies were most likely a magical prank device designed to scare the victim. As 'creepy crawlies' often referred to insects, arachnids, myriapods (such as Centipedes and Millipedes) and other invertebrates, they might have been an assortment of insects. They were sold at Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes.[1]
