A crochet hook was a tool used in the art of crochet. It was a long, thin implement with a hook at one end, which was used to make loops in yarn or thread and interlock them into crochet stitches.
The magazine Knitter's Own advertised that it was giving away free crochet hooks on the cover of a 1996 issue.
