A crochet hook was a tool used in the art of crochet.[1] It was a long, thin implement with a hook at one end, which was used to make loops in yarn or thread and interlock them into crochet stitches.[1]

The magazine Knitter's Own advertised that it was giving away free crochet hooks on the cover of a 1996 issue.[2]
