Cromer was a small, seaside town on the east coast of England, in Norfolk. In the early eighteenth century, this was the home of the Sea Serpent of Cromer before it was slayed by Glanmore Peakes.[1]

- Sir John Hurt, who played Garrick Ollivander in the films, lived near the real Cromer until his death from cancer there in 2017.[2]
