- "This crown is imbued with great power, it makes the wearer fearless! With this, I will rid myself of the debilitating phobias that've held me back for too long. Now, all will cower before me!"
- — Elspeth MacGillony having acquired the crown of courage[src]
The crown of courage was a magical object that supposedly granted its user courage and rid them of fears.[1]
History[]
Due to her phobia about kelpies, Elspeth MacGillony searched for this object when she returned to the school to act as the Study of Ancient Runes substitute professor in the 2010–2011 school year. She put the Imperius Curse on several students to go into the Great Lake and retrieve the crown. Eventually it was Daniel Page who successfully found it inside a chest and brought it out onto the surface. MacGillony came and attempted to put on the crown, but was interrupted by the kelpie in the lake. During a duel, MacGillony boldly faced the kelpie without the crown. When Minerva McGonagall came and stopped her, the crown was taken from her to Gringotts Wizarding Bank for examination.[1]
