This cruel wizard owned a house-elf at some point before the late 19th century. Hoping to defend the house-elf in battle, he presented it with a suit of armour. The house-elf, however, interpreted this suit of armour as clothing, believed that he had been freed from service, and promptly Disapparated.[1]
