This House-elf was a servant of a cruel wizard at some point before the late 19th century. Hoping to defend the house-elf in battle, the wizard presented him with a suit of armour. The house-elf, however, interpreted this suit of armour as clothing, believed that he had been freed from service, and promptly Disapparated. His suit of armour was eventually stored in the Trophy Room at Hogwarts Castle[1]
