Custard pudding was a dessert created by the Muggle-born wizard André Leroux, as a magical variation of normal custard pudding. André used frozen Ashwinder eggs and 'fragrant herbs' to make his custard pudding, which unintentionally caused an effect similar to that of a love potion. Gryffindor student, Lavinia Fortescue, finally confessed to her crush right after having the pudding.[1]
André was subsequently accused of spiking his custard puddings with love potions by Rita Skeeter and removed them from his store, even though he questioned whether there was any harm in helping feelings that were already in place grow.[1]
