A daffodil is a type of flower in the genus Narcissus.[4]

La Fameuse Fougère sold "narcisse" during the 1920s.[5]
During the 1995–1996 school year, Lavender Brown and her friends picked some normal daffodils for Professor Sybill Trelawney and brought them to her in her office in an attempt to improve her mood, following being sacked by Dolores Umbridge.[1]
Honking daffodils were a type of daffodil that produced a honking noise. Pomona Sprout grew these plants in the Hogwarts greenhouses.[1] Herbologist Tilden Toots discussed honking daffodils on his radio programme Toots, Shoots 'n' Roots, with Toots promising to tell listeners in an upcoming episode what do if Muggles heard these noisy flowers.[2]
In the 2010s, Hesychia Hickinbottom placed an order at Bewildering Blooms for forty rare-coloured daffodils to replace her neighbour's honking daffodils that would toot and trumpet outside her window all day and night.[6]
