Dan Schlesinger is an American[1] oil and ceramic artist who created the cover art and chapter art for the original Japanese hardback edition of the Harry Potter books.[2]
Biography[]
Dan was born in New York City and attended Yale, Harvard, and Oxford university for seven years, preparing to become a lawyer. He was a former long distance runner under a Nike sponsorship and placed 3rd in the 1982 New York City marathon before beginning his switch to a full-time artist.[1]
