- "Good evening class! Do you know we often think of constellations as geometric shapes? But did you know that some of them are made of vast cosmic clouds? Today we will observe dark cloud constellations and see what forms they take. First, we'll research what can be found in a dark cloud constellation."
- — Professor Sinistra to her Astronomy students[src]
A dark cloud constellation was a constellation made of vast cosmic clouds.[1]
They contained tiny dust particles that blocked visible light. Dark cloud constellations could be most easily seen in the Southern Hemisphere.[1]
History[]
Professor Aurora Sinistra taught her seventh-year Astronomy students about dark cloud constellations at the start of the 1990–1991 school year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.[1]
