The Department of Security was a department of the Ministry of Magic. It was probably a sub-division of another department, most likely the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, and was responsible for ensuring the security of wizarding Great Britain.^[1] It is possible that their headquarters was located on level eight in the Security Office.
